Housework

   It's coming along! Slowly, but surely.
      Cori gave me a hand (thank you!) with the basement family room. I somehow never took pictures of the basement, so you'll have to use your imagination. It was a very drab and scuffed up beige when we moved in. Here's the after pictures. Well... mid pictures. I still have to decorate and rearrange. Decorating seems to be where I stall in each room!

I would like to make over the fireplace. I really hate that tile!!

Here's my bathroom before:

Yuck.
Here's after (mid):

                It might be hard to see, but that's a very light blue on the ceiling. Thanks Pinterest!

I was in need of cute curtains in the living room, but couldn't find anything I liked that was a reasonable price... So I bought a set of sheets! Another Pinterest find. Thank goodness other people come up with good ideas for me!

We hung a couple pendant lights.
In the entry way;

And over the dining table;

And that's that! Next up is the main bathroom, laundry room, basement bedroom, and then I move on to the outside of the house. Lots of trim to be scraped and painted! I plan to paint the stucco on the front of the house. We're going to put up a fence soon. We have another round of weed killing to do this fall, and then we can finally start landscaping. (And by landscaping, I mean planting a few things around the house that can survive me.) Maybe I'll even manage to put some things up on the walls in between these projects!

   Some quick updates; Maggie is now 9 weeks old and as fantastic as ever! The boys still haven't shown any signs of jealousy. They just shower her with kisses and cuddles! If they can't kiss or cuddle with her, they grab their dolls (who are named Maggie and Leah) and pretend instead. I'm a lucky mom. :)
           Maggie has already perfected the Barry Glare. (One eyebrow raised in disapproval)
           But she was quick to smile again!

             This is how we spend our days. If I'm not getting my snuggles in, she's hanging out, super calm. Like I said, I am a lucky mom!!

   Connor started preschool a couple weeks ago. He looked so big with his backpack on! I cried a little. Max went into his classroom with us on Connor's first day. When he realized he couldn't stay and play with all the goodies alongside his brother he was all tears and one big broken heart. :( I cried again. It was a rough day. But a wonderful day too! It was so exciting to open up Con's backpack after school and see all the treasures inside! Our fridge is now covered with artwork.

Aunt Karen came for a couple days this weekend! She brought some pretty cool stuff for the boys. Naturally, it all goes on the head.

Connor turned 4 last Thursday! He demanded a monster truck cake... Umm. I'm really happy he's only 4 and thought this cake was impressive!

  VERY intent on his Leap Pad.

Max graced us with his fashion sense.

Kacee came this weekend too! This was a common sight around here... The kids are in love with her!

And I have to put this one up, because we FINALLY got a half decent photo of all of us!

More house updates to come next...
