The other day I realized that I don't have very many physical pieces of memorabilia from the boys. I would like little somethings here and there to look at and remember how little they are, the things they are going through and learning, and little milestones along the way. So I'll be keeping an eye out for ideas to capture these moments. We traced their little hands the other day. They were enthralled with their own hands on paper! Then we cut them out for bookmarks (for Rob and I). I love the idea of opening up my bible years down the road and rediscovering my babies' youth!
I've saved the usual things. Like baby outfits that are particularily special to each one. And the hats that were given to them in the hospital. Blankets, halloween costumes, etc. But every day I see how grown up Connor has become, and Max is right behind him. Our very last baby is on the way, and that's it. No more baby memories after this! I'm realizing how much I don't want to let go of these days! :( It really does go in the blink of an eye.
Moving on to something less depressing, BG is growing like mad! She's a lot more interactive with Daddy than the boys were in the womb. With the boys, any time Rob would try to feel a kick, they would stop moving as soon as his hand was on my belly! I'm still amazed at how they even knew it was him! It was rare that he got to be kicked. But this one doesn't hold back. And she certainly doesn't like to be pushed around! I like to poke and prod at her, and I'm usually rewarded with a defiant kick! She's 26 weeks old, give or take a few days. It's hard to believe I'll be holding her in just 3 months!!
Hopefully my next post will be more exciting, with pictures of BG's room. I've been working on it just a little at a time, but there's still quite a bit I have (want) to do. I need to get back in the groove! Here's me, Wishin' for Ambition.

Yeah, watching our kids grow up is sorta bittersweet, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see pics of BG's room! And fun to get a little update on her, too! :)
