Off again

  Monday morning my mom and I and the kids are leaving for MN! My sister had a baby girl, and we're anxious to meet her. I can't wait to hold a tiny little thing again! I'm looking forward to the trip this time. Almost exactly a year ago we were heading for MN too, but I dreaded it. Maggie was only a week old. I was still hurting from a C-section. It was a long drive. The trip was nice, but it was all a little foggy from getting up every few hours in the night! This year, we can all really enjoy our vacation! (As long as the kids aren't screaming the whole 1300 miles.) I'll be gone almost a month. Half of that time with mom, then she'll fly home and Rob will fly in. Then we'll head to Iowa to see his family.
    Last week was convention. It was nice this year too! I wasn't full-term pregnant! I could sit in meeting without my tailbone screaming at me. It was a pleasant 75-80 degrees most of the time instead of 100+. My feet and ankles didn't resemble an elephants.
    One of the days at convention Max didn't make it to the toilet quite in time. We had extra clothes in my parent's camper, so Rob ran him in there to change. My parent's and my aunt and uncle were in there. When Max came in, he put up his hands and shook his head in such a Max way, then said, "My sprinkler just went off!" Hahaha! I love that kid! He has such a big imagination.
    Maggie turned one yesterday. That one year flew by! I didn't make her a cake or really celebrate at all yesterday... I've been so busy trying to get ready for the trip, I couldn't find time to make her the cake I wanted. So I'll make her fancy-pants cake after we get home. She won't know the difference! And she got her presents anyway, so we're all good. ;)
